Below are some photographs from a recent gasification project Mesa's conducted with the Tampa Electric Company's Polk Power Station. The test is a first of its kind where 5% grass was used as a fuel with coal and petroleum coke to make a gas that was fired in a turbine to make electricity. Gasification processes like the Chevron/Texaco system used at Polk are the state-of-the-art in Clean Coal Technologies that offer low emissions and a highly efficient power generation application.
